But what I have noticed or may b I think for boys, they all think in terms of strength and power. They behave well under someone more physically strong whether he/she spank or not. My son is so impressed by his dad’s muscles however he has never even yelled at him.
But boys are boys comparison of power is always their.

I think you have some valid points here, Elizabeth. I am, indeed the one that’s with them all the time. I think it’s a lot easier to be “beat down” by them when you’re with them 24/7 and easier to stick to your guns all the time when you’re not.

I’m home with my kids all day, so Mommy Time is ordinary, and in that time I’m constantly (from their POV) placing demands upon them: go here, do this, don’t do that, etc. on the other hand, Daddy Time is special, and because he places fewer demands on them they don’t get tired of listening to him like they do me.
